Chelsea and Atletico Madrid will face each other on February 23, and the game will now be played at the Arena Nationala in Bucharest.
Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix had missed games against Liga games against Celta Vigo and Granada due to Covid-19.
The Portuguese star was back at the club’s facilities on Tuesday, having now tested negative to the virus, and Atletico were happy to have the talented player back in their ranks.
Atletico who are preparing to face Chelsea next week, took to social media to announce the comeback of Felix with the caption: “Breaking. He’s back.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has his eyes ahead for the Atletico game already.
Speaking about preparing for the game, Tuchel said: “We will be prepared and hopefully I will tell you that we are well prepared. We will do everything to go through but you know very well that Atletico are top of the league and are by far the top of the league in Spain.
“They are one of the toughest teams in Spain and are still a challenge. It is a two-match elimination as you know well.
“We will focus on Southampton and the best way to arrive in the Champions League with a good performance. Hopefully another win, we will see on Monday who we can count on and who is ready to play.
“We are self-confident enough to say we play these two games to get to the next round but it will be super hard.”
