When Chelsea paid £33m to sign Hakim Ziyech, the Moroccan was signed to bring fresh impetus to the Chelsea attack.
Injury however delayed Ziyech’s Chelsea debut, but when he returned, he played a key role for the team as Frank Lampard’s side went on an unbeaten run of 17 games before tasting defeat.
Chelsea’s slump under former boss Frank Lampard coincided with another injury to Ziyech, and upon his return, it seemed that he had dropped form as well.
New boss Thomas Tuchel doesn’t seem to have Ziyech in his plans at the moment, with Ziyech having only featured once in the Premier League since the appointment of Thomas Tuchel.
Reports have gone round that Ziyech is considering his future at Chelsea and may decide to leave at the end of the campaign.
Meanwhile, reputable reporter Fabrizio Romano reported on his Here We Go Podcast that no contact had been made to sign Hakim Ziyech despite all the rumours linking him with an exit.
Romano claimed that ‘there is absolutely nothing from Juventus and AC Milan for Ziyech’.
