Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech failed to make the squad for Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Moroccan started the goalless draw against Wolves before he was replaced by Mason Mount later in the second-half, but didn’t even make the bench for the game against Burnley.

Explaining Ziyech’s absence against Burnley, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel had said: “He has been in a bit of overload since five weeks so he has a bit of a risk of getting injured if he plays more than say 30 minutes.

“For that, we decided to take a break now to go out of the risk zone.”

Ahead of the derby game against Tottenham, Ziyech has now said a similar thing.

“I’m feeling good,” Ziyech admits.

“I’m fit and of course I’m hungry as well. It wasn’t really an injury, more like game and training overloading. Sometimes you have to be smart and let the body relax. The coach did well, we spoke about it and we did that so now I’m ready.”
