Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has had an unbeaten start at Chelsea, and two months after his appointment, the Blues boss is yet to lose a game as Chelsea manager.
Tuchel has turned Chelsea into a very organised side, and the Chelsea defence which conceded goals with ease in the past, has now become so impenetrable.
With this current form, one could believe that Chelsea will challenge for the title next season. But an Arsenal legend doesn’t think so.
Former Arsenal defender Nigel Winterburn, doesn’t believe Tuchel is impressed with the display of the Chelsea team and looks frustrated on the bench.
Winterburn believes Chelsea must do more if they want to become league leaders next season.
“Chelsea won’t be competing for the title next year,” Winterburn told Genting Bet.
“There is still a lot to be answered for at Chelsea. To win the league, they’re going to have to take another step forward.
“They’ve got a new manager in who has great attention to detail but you can see from watching him on the touchline that things aren’t quite right and he is frustrated.
“They already have immense talent in their squad. Let’s see where they are come the end of this season as it would be good to see if Tuchel can get them to perform consistently.
“If they can maintain that then perhaps they can push for the title next season but I think there are still a while away. One thing for sure, next season is going to be very interesting.”
