Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel set a new record following Chelsea’s 2-0 Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel stretched his unbeaten start as Chelsea boss to 13 games and in doing so becomes the Chelsea manager with the best unbeaten start.

Tuchel, 47, eclipsed Luiz Felipe Scolari’s unbeaten start to life at Stamford Bridge in the 2008-09 season.

Scolari racked up 12 games without a loss at the start of the campaign but Tuchel has gone one better following Wednesday’s victory over Atletico Madrid.

Since taking over from Frank Lampard in January, Tuchel has guided the Blues to nine victories and four draws in all competitions.
