Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has made Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland a top transfer target this summer but the German tactician might be unable to get his target.
According to German media outlet Bild, Borussia Dortmund are unwilling to sell Erling Haaland to Chelsea because the German club do not want to give their star striker to their former manager.
Tuchel managed the Bundesliga giants for 108 matches after replacing Jurgen Klopp in 2015 but left after just two years in charge due to a fractious relationship with the club’s hierarchy.
Bild claims those grudges still remain and Borussia Dortmund are unwilling to do business with Chelsea because of Tuchel irrespective of the offer.
Dortmund’s feelings towards Tuchel could hand the initiative to Man United, who are seen as the biggest rivals in England to the striker’s signature.
However, Chelsea believe every player has a price and are confident Roman Abramovich’s riches will be able to help convince Dortmund to do business despite Tuchel being in charge.
