Manchester City may be strolling to the Premier League title, with win after win, but the race for top four has become a very difficult one.
From 2nd place Manchester United to 9th place Aston Villa, all clubs have a huge chance of making it to the top four, with about 12 games left of action for the season to be concluded.
Interestingly, Chelsea’s top four rivals have been dropping points surprisingly, in the midweek round of matches.
On Wednesday, Manchester played a goalless draw with Crystal Palace, and Leicester City managed to hold on to a 1-1 draw against Burnley. Aston Villa were beaten 1-0 by Sheffield United who were down by a man.
Chelsea have the advantage to close the gap on Leicester City and Manchester United to 3 and 4 points respectively, with a victory in our Thursday night clash.
However, the Blues face the champions Liverpool, away from home. Jurgen Klopp’s side are in 6th and are also chasing a top four finish.
Can Thomas Tuchel take advantage of dropped points from our rivals, and guide Chelsea to a massive win against the Reds?
