Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour has made just one appearance for the Blues, the FA Cup game against Barnsley, since Thomas Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard as Chelsea boss.

He has only been included in the Premier League match-day squad on two occasions under the German coach.

The Blues have now made a decision on Gilmour following his lack of game time under Tuchel.

According to Football London, Gilmour is set to play for Chelsea’s development squad this evening against Leicester City.

The game – which kicks off at 7pm – will be an opportunity for Gilmour to improve his match fitness after failing to get enough game time under Tuchel.
