One complain that many had under former boss Frank Lampard was that he wasn’t beating the big teams.

Although Lampard got a couple of good wins against the big teams in the league last season, he seemed to have struggled this season against the traditional Big Six.

Meanwhile, under Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea are now winning the big games, as the Blues have won games against Liverpool and Tottenham.

Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell had a good game against Liverpool, plying as a left-back. The 23-year-old is even pleased that Chelsea are getting big wins in the big games.

“It was a brilliant performance, said Chilwell. “All season we’ve been looking for a big win against one of the big teams and we thoroughly deserved this win.

“It was a great performance, everyone put a real shift in and the only disappointment was that it wasn’t by more goals because I think our play merited that.

“It’s an impressive run that we are on. Everyone will look at the clean sheets and the defensive work but that’s not just the back five and the goalkeeper. It’s the whole team putting the effort in. When you look at what the midfield, the wingers and the strikers are all doing defensively for the team, it’s pivotal as to why we are keeping clean sheets.

“Mason has scored a great goal to put us in front and then we’ve had the confidence to push on at Liverpool. It wasn’t a 1-0 game where we were hanging on either. There were spells when we were under pressure but you’re always going to get that at Anfield, but overall I think we’ve dominated the game, been the better side and thoroughly deserved to win.
