Edouard Mendy has been in terrific form for Chelsea this season, as the Senegal international has kept clean sheet after clean sheet.
Mendy is also the number one goalkeeper for his country, Senegal, but he has been ruled out of their upcoming international games, due to a tooth surgery he has since been scheduled for.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old showed his love for his country as he sent a message across via social media, showing his support for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
“I will unfortunately not be able to attend the next meeting with my country,” the goalkeeper wrote on Instagram.
“I had to perform a dental operation this morning that couldn’t wait, in order to avoid this to disrupt the end of the season, which has important deadlines, both with my club and with my country.
“My heart goes out to my brothers for these last two qualification games.”
