Chelsea have struggled to score goals under Thomas Tuchel, with the Blues scoring just 14 goals in 13 games.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is hoping to solve Chelsea’s lack of goals by signing Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland this summer, a move Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is willing to back.
Amid interest from Chelsea alongside Manchester United and Manchester City, Haaland has reportedly made a transfer decision as the 20 year old striker eyes a move this summer.
According to Spanish media outlet Marca, Haaland has told his agent Mino Raiola that he would prefer a move to Real Madrid despite interest from the Premier League.
The report claims that Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola is eager to engineer a summer switch to Los Blancos in line with his client’s wishes.
The Norway international has a modest release clause of around £64million inserted into his contract with Dortmund, but this will only come into effect in the summer of 2022.
Chelsea remain confident of signing Haaland despite his preference to join Real Madrid, with Tuchel able to offer him a ready-made starting spot in attack for the Blues and also tempting wages.
This season, Haaland has found the net on 31 occasions in all competitions, averaging a goal every 82 minutes.
