Chelsea star Kai Havertz has been in good form while on international duty with Germany.
The 21-year-old signed up for Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of £70m during the summer transfer window, but he has so far struggled to justify his high price tag.
Havertz is slowly getting back to form under Thomas Tuchel and scored a goal and made an assist in Germany’s games against Romania and Iceland.
Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan, who’s also his international teammate has hailed the quality of the Chelsea man and backed him to come good for the club.
“Kai is exceptionally good technically,” Gundogan told reporters ahead of Germany’s clash with North Macedonia.
“I think it’s great that at his age he had the courage to take the step abroad.
“He’s played a lot of good games for Chelsea, but it is normal for everything not to work out in the first season.
“He has sensational qualities and will make a big statement in the Premier League.”
