Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been warned Christian Pulisic might be forced to leave the club if the winger doesn’t get a run of games.
This is according to Steve Nicol.
Pulisic is yet to start a league game for the Blues since Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard as Chelsea boss.
“A lot of it is circumstance and injury,” the former defender said on ESPN FC. “He goes to Chelsea and then Frank comes in and he has to prove himself and does prove himself.
“There was one stage with Frank where it was Pulisic and who else up front, then he does his hamstring and he has another long battle to get fit again.
“By the time he’s fit Frank gets the bullet and Tuchel comes in. He’s kind of having to start all over again all of the time.
“He has to get a run of games and if there’s one thing Tuchel’s shown us it’s that he’s going to make changes in the front three all the time. That doesn’t suit Pulisic.
“He was in a position where he was first on the team sheet because Frank gave him a run of games.
“Unless he gets a run of games you wonder if he’s going to get himself to the position that he once was there. I’d certainly say it’s not time to go yet but it may be coming soon.”
