Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel praised the versatility of Chelsea star Mason Mount after he played in three different positions against Sheffield United.
Mount started the game as one of the inside forwards before playing through the middle as a false nine after Tuchel subbed in Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James for Andreas Christensen and Olivier Giroud.
Mount then dropped into central midfield alongside Mateo Kovacic after Tuchel brought on Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech for Billy Gilmour and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
“It was not easy today for him,” Tuchel told Chelsea TV when asked about his decision to use Mount in three different roles.
“But yeah, it should tell him that we wanted to have him on the pitch.
“And it is a big advantage that he can play in more than only one position.”
“Another win, another clean-sheet with him as a captain.”
