Kai Havertz ran the show against Everton, and was man of the match as he put in his best Chelsea performance in the Premier League.

Kai Havertz deflected shot got Chelsea the first goal, and he won the penalty for the second goal.

The German international did brilliantly to beat Jordan Pickford when placed one on one with the goalkeeper, as Pickford brought down the 21-year-old in the penalty box, leaving the referee with no option but to point to the spot.

Explaining how he won the penalty, Havertz said: “I knew probably five metres before that he will come like this and it was only a matter of time to fall down. That was easy for me to get the penalty and that’s good for us.”

“It was a good performance from us. We did very good, especially in the second half. They gave us a lot of space and I think it was a good match and a deserved win for us.

“Now we are four points in front of them and we have to secure that. That’s the plan, our goal is the Champions League, and I think there will be some tough matches coming in the next few months, but we have to keep on working in every training session. I think 11 games without a loss is very strong but we can keep on going.”
