Academy graduate Conor Gallagher is highly valued at the club, and the 21-year-old has done well anytime he’s out on loan, and is currently impressing for West Brom.
Reports now claim that Gallagher is attracting interest from other clubs, and could be keen on establishing himself as a regular in a Premier League side.
According to the Daily Express, Crystal Palace are among his top admirers, and will be keen to sign him this summer for just £9million.
With the departure of Frank Lampard, academy products will indeed have a much tougher route into the first team, as the former boss created a pathway for the likes of Tammy Abraham, Reece James, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Billy Gilmour.
Meanwhile, former Chelsea star Ashley Cole has hailed the quality of Gallagher and believes he’s the star man for the Baggies.
Cole said: “He’s been a very important player for West Brom.
“That hard work, dedication, that attitude he had [as a youngster at Chelsea], it’s just proved what he’s doing now is fantastic, he’s been the star player.”
