Mason Mount is now finally beginning to get the praise he deserves, as he has been one of Chelsea’s best players since last season. It could be part of the reason why he has played the most games for Chelsea since the start of the 2019-20 season.
Mount proved doubters wrong with yet another fine display in England’s 5-0 victory over San Marino, with Mount being a class act on the pitch.
Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate singled out Mount for praise in the 5-0 victory over San Marino.
Manchester United legend Roy Keane, was indeed pleased with the performance of Mount and hailed him before and after the match.
“He’s an outstanding player, he’s proven it week-in, week-out,” the former Manchester United star said on ITV. “There were question marks, people were quick to criticise him, but I can’t talk highly enough of him.”
During the game, former England striker m Gary Lineker also took the time to hail Mount, as he tweeted: “Not much opposition, clearly, but @masonmount_10 is such a good player. Got it all.”
Roy Keane also said: “I think he seems a really good pro, he affects the game, he’s got a goal in him, he seems an honest pro, the most important thing for any manager is to have options.
“Gareth is a lucky manager, he’s got great options.”
