While viewers and analysts thought that Mason Mount played three different roles in the game against Sheffield United, Mason Mount has revealed that he actually played five different roles in that game.

Mount is very versatile and yet effective when playing high up the pitch or in a deeper midfield role.

The 22-year-old has been one of the best players in the team this season, and has also had the most appearances since last season.

Meanwhile, Mount who has been hailed as a future Chelsea captain, has told the boss that he is ready to play anywhere on the pitch, either high up the pitch or in a deeper role.

Mount said: “I hadn’t had something like that in a game but I’m versatile, I can change positions and that’s what the modern game’s about. I think my versatility is something that is a positive for me.

“I don’t mind playing a bit deeper or higher up in the midfield, I can play anywhere. That’s definitely a positive for me and I just keep trying to work hard and know what I need to do in the different positions.”
