Chelsea women have a crucial Champions League clash today, as the Blues host the first leg of our Champions League quarter-final against Wolfsburg.

Chelsea captain Magda Eriksson is full of praise for the quality in the current squad as she hails the team as the best she has ever been a part of.

Eriksson also vowed that the team will give their best and play without fear to seal a place in the semi-final.

She said: “I think we have showed over the years how much we have improved every year.

“We feel that with the way our squad have been performing lately, we are further at the top than Chelsea has ever been. This is the best team I’ve ever played with.

“All being said I still think it is going to be a really difficult game and it feels like this year, there are more teams that could go all the way this time.”

She added: “The Champions League is the biggest thing.

“There are a lot of us that have never been in a final and I think that hunger is what drives us on a daily basis.

“It drives us in training and it drives us to be better all the time. We always have that goal in our minds.

“The game on Wednesday is going to be a massive game and there will be another one a week later.

“We will go out there with no fear and play our normal game.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
