It’s a battle of who really wants Erling Haaland, as many of Europe’s giants are keen on the Borussia Dortmund striker.
At age 20, Haaland is already a household name in the football world and has the record for the highest scorer in the Champions League at such age.
Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United are the three clubs who have been linked the most with Haaland, with Manchester City also rumoured to be interested in the 20-year-old.
Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has now told the young forward to make the move to the Santiago Bernabeu when he is ready.
Asked about the rumours surrounding Haaland at a press conference on Monday, Benzema told reporters: “I’m not going to talk about players who aren’t here.
“Every month we talk about people who are not here, about players who score a lot of goals. He scores a lot of goals for his team.
“If one day he has the opportunity to come, let him come…”
Meanwhile, Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has admitted that he’d also like to have Erling Haaland in his team, admitting that it would be easier to sign up Haaland than Kylian Mbappe.
“Haaland or Mbappe if I were a coach? I would like to have both of them, but a coach does not sign,” he told Ibai Llanos on Twitch.
“Perhaps, due to the circumstances and the current situation, today I think it would be a little easier to sign Haaland.
“Mbappe is talked about as the Cristiano [Ronaldo] and [Lionel] Messi replacement, and the circumstances are more complicated.
“It would never be bad to reinforce Madrid with a No.9 like Haaland, who has something that we do not have: speed, hunger, height.
“Mbappe has it too, of course, but it would be much easier today to come to terms with Haaland.”
