Timo Werner has struggled for goals in his first season at Stamford Bridge and there are doubts over his future as a Chelsea player should the club sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
According to German media outlet Bild, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has no plans to part ways with Werner despite interest in signing Haaland.
The Germany international still has a role to play and would presumably take up the left-sided role in attack should Chelsea sign Haaland this summer.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund are reportedly unwilling to sell Erling Haaland to Chelsea due to their poor relationship with Tuchel.
Tuchel managed the Bundesliga giants for 108 matches after replacing Jurgen Klopp in 2015 but left after just two years in charge due to a fractious relationship with the club’s hierarchy.
