The race for top four is one that has had so many plots and twists over the past three months. The likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool once occupied the top three spots at some point, and they all dropped out of the top four, only for Chelsea to recently return to 4th place.

West Ham, Tottenham, Everton, Liverpool and Aston Villa are all within touching distance of making a Champions League place, with 5 points separating 4th place Chelsea from 7th place Tottenham. However, Spurs, Everton and West Ham all have a game in hand. A win for the Hammers in their outstanding game could see Chelsea drop to 5th.

Chelsea are unbeaten in the competition since the appointment of Thomas Tuchel, but Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand still believes that Chelsea aren’t yet through, and he isn’t getting carried away by the Thomas Tuchel vibes, as he maintains that ‘Chelsea are not playing out of their skin’.

“Those three are fighting for that fourth position,” said the former Manchester United defender, in regards to Chelsea, Spurs and Everton.

“It’s not like Chelsea are not playing out of their skin.

“They’re getting good results under Tuchel but it’s not like they are far and above the better team.

“Everton are the same. Spurs are in there with a shout.”
