Ahead of Thursday’s Premier League game against Liverpool at Anfield, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed a Chelsea player will be unavailable for selection.
According to Tuchel, Chelsea defender Thiago Silva will not be available for Thursday’s game against Liverpool.
The Brazilian has been absent since the win over Spurs a month ago, a game he exited during the first half with a thigh injury. He returned to team training on Tuesday but Tuchel insists the game against Liverpool comes too soon for Silva.
Tuchel said: “Thiago made his first training with the team but did not finish the last exercise, not because of any pain but just to be aware of taking a risk.
“I assume he will train today but he is not at 100 per cent so he will not join the squad for Liverpool.”
