Not many managers are happy when it’s time for the international break, but not Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

Although Chelsea are in good form, and no one wants a pause when your team is on a good run, but Tuchel believes he can make good use of the break to relax and rest a little.

Explaining the importance of the break, Tuchel told the official Chelsea website: “It gives you time to breathe a little bit.

“It is good to have some free days. Maybe we can use it as a little bit of a pause before the decisive part of the season. When we regroup it is April and we can refocus on the next eight weeks where we want to achieve the best results possible.

“It’s nice timing. Normally I prefer to keep everybody together, but it’s good timing, and anyway we can’t change it! I will try to relax, which is normally not a problem on days off, and from there we go.”

Indeed, it will be a good time for the manager to relax and unwind, after a breathaking past two months.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
