Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has praised Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy for saving Chelsea in our goalless draw against Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
“It was good that Edouard had a good day and saved us,” Tuchel told talkSPORT.
“There were some chances and half chances. I do not expect us to always play games without any chance.
“It was the strength of us in the last games to not concede any chances. Today we needed Edu to save us in some situations and there is also a good feeling that we can rely on in some situations where things get a bit tighter.
“Unfortunately, it was not possible to win and we’ll take the draw and move on.”
Mendy’s clean sheet against Leeds United is his 19th for the Blues since joining from Rennes last summer.
