Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel just seems to be making the right decision with each game.

The German gaffer recorded another victory, as Chelsea defeated Everton 2-0 to increase the gap ahead of the Toffees to 4 points.

Tuchel didn’t stick with the team that defeated Liverpool last time out, as the likes of Antonio Rudiger, N’Golo Kante, Hakim Ziyech, Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell dropped to the bench for the Merseyside club.

The new gaffer made five changes to the team, and Tuchel has always maintained that he makes his team according to each match.

Explaining his lineup ahead of the game, he said: “Thiago is back on the bench and that is very good.

“We’ve made some changes to have some fresh legs in the team. ‘It also shows all the guys that we have total trust in the whole squad.”

Explaining further about the changes, he added: “The recent games against Manchester United and Liverpool were both very intense, both physically and mentally, so it’s important to make changes where we can.

“We want to play with that freshness, play on the front foot and play creative.

“So that is a reason behind some of the changes, and also it’s a chance for the guys that haven’t played as much to get the chance that they deserve because they train very hard.

“Having fresh legs is good and we hope it increases the chance to win against another strong opponent.”
