Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has now proven his tactical nous by remarkably outwitting Diego Simeone, Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp on their own turf in the space of a month.
Since replacing Frank Lampard as Chelsea boss, the Blues are unbeaten in 10 games and have conceded just 2 goals.
While everyone has been praising the impact of Tuchel as Chelsea boss, the German tactician insists its his players that deserve the praise.
Tuchel said: “It’s nice to get the compliments, but I would give the flowers to the players. Chelsea is a club that has everything that you need to be successful as a coach and a team.
“It is my job to bring out the best of myself together with the team. There is no other way to express myself than with team performances.
“I feel an unbelievable attitude from the players towards training and games. I feel exactly the bond between players that is necessary.
“In football the teams who stand out are those who fight for each other, are ready to sacrifice, are happy for each other, who push each other from the bench.
“This is exactly what I found. It’s a pleasure to compete with this group against other strong managers. It is pure joy.”
