Chelsea have a slight lead to protect in the Champions League tie at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

Chelsea defeated Atletico 1-0 away from home, and will need at least a draw to qualify for the quarter-final stage.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will be without four players for this game, with Tammy Abraham and Thiago Silva out injured, and Jorginho as well as Mason Mount suspended.

Tuchel has admitted that he is pleased to have a lesser squad for this game as it will make his selection process easier.

Tuchel said in his press conference: “So we will without four players and that makes our selection easier because we can choose 20 fit players. We will use the whole squad because we can use five substitutes in the match.

“We have a clear idea of what we want to do and how we want to create chances. But we are very aware that Atletico is one of the best teams in Europe when it comes to not giving away chances.

“So it will be likely we have to be patient but play with intensity. We need to keep our level constant, that is the key tomorrow.”
