The Chelsea defence have been solid since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel, with the Blues conceding just two goals in 13 games since the German tactician replaced Frank Lampard.
Despite Chelsea’s exemplary defensive record since Tuchel took over, the German tactician is keen on strengthening the defence even further this summer.
According to The Athletic, Tuchel has already identified three world class centre-halves he wants to bring in this summer.
One of those is sextuple winner with Bayern Munich, Niklas Sule, who faces stiff competition for places at the Allianz Arena.
Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez is also being targeted by Tuchel, with RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate also on Tuchel’s shortlist.
