According to The Mirror, Chelsea legend John Terry has emerged as a contender to become Sheffield United’s next permanent manager.
Since his retirement as a footballer, Terry has worked as an assistant manager at Aston Villa.
Paul Heckingbottom is currently caretaker boss at Sheffield United following Chris Wilder’s departure last month and the Premier League side are now considering Terry as a permanent boss.
Terry is understood to be keen on entering management in the near future and may view the opportunity to undergo a rebuild at Bramall Lane as an attractive opposition.
Sheffield United are on the brink of a return to the Championship and club chiefs want Wilder’s successor to mount a promotion push next season.
