Chelsea are no longer interested in signing West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, who former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard saw as the missing piece of the jigsaw in Chelsea’s midfield.
According to reports, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia has now identified a better signing for the Blues.
Chelsea are interested in bringing in England international Jude Bellingham this summer in a mega-money deal from Borussia Dortmund, according to Eurosport via Daily Mail.
The 17 year old midfielder has emerged as one of the most sought-after youngsters in Europe after impressing at Borussia Dortmund following a £25million move from Birmingham last summer.
Playing more as a traditional box-to-box midfielder than Rice does, Bellingham was superb against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals.
He had a goal controversially ruled out in the first leg, before netting a superb opener in the reverse fixture on Wednesday.
Chelsea are keen on signing the midfielder due to his versatility, as he can play as a No.4, No.8 or a No.10.
Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City are also interested in signing the 17 year old midfielder, though the player himself is believed to be happy to stay in Dortmund for the time being.
