Chelsea currently have three strikers in Tammy Abraham, Olivier Giroud and Timo Werner, and surprisingly, all three haven’t scored the goals on a consistent basis.
Werner was signed for £47m to solve the club’s scoring problems, but he has never really been able to do that under Frank Lampard and now Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea have been linked with young RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate and the Blues have also been linked with Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
Haaland is currently the hottest striker in the world at the moment, and is in demand by all top clubs in Europe.
However, while speaking to UMM, Konate has named Timo Werner ahead of Erling Haaland as the most dangerous striker he’s faced in his career.
Konate was asked to rank Robert Lewandoski, Werner and Haaland in order of toughest forward he’s come up against, and he chose the Chelsea striker over the Chelsea target.
Do you think Werner can still reach his best heights at Chelsea?
