Chelsea defeated Porto over two legs to seal a place in the Champions League semi finals. The Blues will meet Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League, as the Spanish side defeated Liverpool.
The dates for Chelsea’s Champions League semi final against Real Madrid have now been confirmed after the Spanish side ousted Liverpool to seal a place in the final four on Wednesday night.
Stamford Bridge didn’t host a quarter-final Champions League clash, but the Blues will be glad to feel at home against the Los Blancos, having played both of their quarter final matches against Porto in Seville, Spain.
The first leg of the semi final will be played at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano, at Real Madrid’s training ground, on April 27 with an 8pm GMT kick off on Tuesday night, and the return leg will be played eight days later at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea and Real Madrid do not have much history of facing each other, and this fixture will be the first time the two teams will meet each other in a European competition since 1998, when they met in the Super Cup in Monaco.
The other semi final tie is between PSG and Manchester City, and the final will be played on May 29 at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.
