Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants to sign a striker this summer and would love to sign Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.
According to Italian football expert Aurelio Capaldi, Conte would not let Lukaku join Chelsea this summer under his watch.
Since joining Inter Milan in 2019, Lukaku has scored 61 goals in 88 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A side.
Financial problems at Inter, with owners Suning putting the club up for sale, led to Capaldi being asked if Lukaku will be sold to raise funds.
Capaldi, appearing on the Transfer Window podcast, responded: “I think it depends who is going to buy the club.
“But for sure, if Conte stays, he will not accept the departure of Lukaku.
“He fought a lot to have him and that was a good decision, because Lukaku is making the difference in Serie A.
“But he will not accept Lukaku to go. So if Conte stays, Lukaku is not leaving.”
Meanwhile, transfer expert Ian McGarry revealed last week that Tuchel would prefer to sign Lukaku over Erling Haaland.
“Tuchel prefers the playing style of Romelu Lukaku, and also Kylian Mbappe, although Mbappe wants to go to Real Madrid,” McGarry said.
