Eden Hazard was the darling of the Chelsea team in the seven years he spent at Stamford Bridge.

Hazard’s love affair with Chelsea, was a match made in heaven. He was adored by the Blues faithful, and he was the main man for many years.

However, upon fulfilling a dream move to Real Madrid in 2019, Hazard’s wish was to get an opportunity to play against his former side.

Speaking in 2019, the Belgian admitted that he would love to get the opportunity to go up against his former club in the Champions League.

“Chelsea and especially Chelsea fans will always be special to me and next season I will look for your results first,” he said.

“I hope that we are drawn against each other in the Champions League and every season so we can meet again.”

Hazard has now returned from an injury layoff and is expected to start from the bench against Chelsea.

However, the Belgian should expect to know that he may not find any joy against the defence of his former team.
