Crystal Palace have managed to stay afloat this season and Palace boss Roy Hodgson is unhappy with his players following the 4-1 defeat against Chelsea.
With 7 games left to go, Palace boss Roy Hodgson is certain his side won’t be involved in the relegation scrap. However, he wasn’t too pleased to see his side easily beaten by Chelsea at Selhurst Park on Saturday evening.
He also took time to hail Thomas Tuchel’s side for the quality in the team and admitted that he isn’t too sure his side can get a victory against the Blues when Chelsea are in this mode.
Hodgson told the BBC: “It’s a matter of personal pride for myself, the coaching staff and the players.
“They are very tough games. We could quite easily hide behind that fact. We know that when we do our jobs properly and do the job right, we can get results against these teams.
“It’s what has kept us in the league for three and a half seasons. Today we didn’t do anywhere near enough. I of course take responsibility for it but I’m pretty sure the players will accept that they let themselves down.
“I don’t know if we are good enough to beat Chelsea yet but we certainly did not show our best.”
