According to reports, Spanish winger Lucas Vazquez has eliminated any hope that he will extend his Real Madrid contract after rejecting the club’s final contract offer.

The 29-year-old midfielder will be a free agent this summer and reports claim Chelsea have made contact with his agent.

With Vazquez in the final two months of his contract with the Los Blancos, many top clubs are looking to snatch the Real Madrid man for free.

However, the Real Madrid academy product has recently declared that he will forever be a Real Madrid man irrespective of whether he leaves the Los Blancos or not.

Vazquez told reporters: “What I concentrate on is the present.

“I’m really enjoying myself this season because I’m playing and that’s what makes me happy.

“A contract extension? I was and will always be a Real Madrid man.”

Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are the three clubs to have been linked with a move for Vazquez if he eventually becomes a free agent.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
