Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour was linked with a loan exit in the January transfer window, but the 19-year-old was eventually retained by Thomas Tuchel, as he was keen to see all his players in action before making a decision.
Gilmour is yet to make a Premier League appearance under Tuchel, and has only featured in the FA Cup since his appointment.
However, despite his apparent lack of game time, the reliable Matt Law of The Telegraph recently stated that Billy Gilmour is happy with his choice of staying back at Chelsea.
According to the report by Matt Law, Tuchel was initially greatly impressed with Gilmour in training and sees a long-term future for the youngster.
Law also reported that Gilmour is certain he’ll learn a lot from the management of Tuchel, which will benefit to him in the long run.
Will the Chelsea boss help build the youngster into a top player at the club or should Gilmour seek a loan exit this summer?
