West Ham boss David Moyes has sang the praises of Thomas Tuchel ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash between West Ham and Chelsea at the London Stadium.

Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard in January, after the club legend had struggled to keep up with results midway through the season.

Under Tuchel, Chelsea have shown consistency, and are now 4th in the league, 5 places higher than when Frank Lampard was sacked.

Moyes has hailed the quality of the Chelsea squad which was assembled by Lampard, and believes that Tuchel has done a great job with the squad, as he hailed the experience of the German.

Moyes who was beaten 3-0 by Frank Lampard’s side in the reverse fixture, knows what’s like to come up against this Chelsea team on their day.

“He [Tuchel] has done unbelievably well,” Moyes said.

“He is a very experienced manager, to manage Dortmund and PSG you have to have very good qualities to manage at that level.

“I do think Chelsea have got one of the strongest squads in the Premier League.”

Moyes went on: “I thought Frank Lampard had brought together a good squad of players and he was on the verge, so he was a little but unlucky.

“But Thomas Tuchel has come in and shown experience.”
