Chelsea defeated Porto 2-1 in aggregate as the Blues are now through to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Chelsea did their homework in the first leg with a 2-0 victory at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, and the second leg was even more difficult.

Porto proved to be a difficult opponent in the second leg and stunned Chelsea with a late goal in the second leg, but it was not enough to force the game into extra time.

Speaking after the game, Porto boss Sergio Conceicao claimed that his side was better than Chelsea over the two legs.

Conceicao said: “Our defensive performance was wonderful. We limited them as much as we could and we tried to score goals.

“We were superior in both matches but we lacked that bit of efficiency.

“I’m proud of our efforts in the competition overall but obviously not happy, because we have lost.”
