Over two legs, Chelsea defeated Porto 2-1 on aggregate, as the Blues have now reached the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2014.

Chelsea would either meet Real Madrid or Liverpool in the semi-finals, with the Reds having lost the first leg 3-1 away at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Meanwhile, two former Chelsea stars disagree on who Chelsea should meet in the semi-finals.

Joe Cole believes it would be better to meet Real Madrid, but former Chelsea midfielder and manager Glenn Hoddle, admitted that he’d rather face Liverpool.

Joe Cole told BT Sport after the match: “Chelsea, very happy. Business-like performance and you’d take Real Madrid in the semi-finals over Liverpool. I think Real Madrid have fallen a long way.”

Glenn Hoddle, the former Chelsea manager, added: “I think if there’s 80,000 in the Bernabeu, no thank you.

“But at that training ground, I fancy Chelsea. I said at half-time, Chelsea could go all the way.

“Liverpool could still turn it around, let’s be fair. They haven’t got that normal 12th man they have at Anfield.”
