Real Madrid play host to Chelsea at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final clash on Tuesday night.
Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos is set to make a return from injury for this game, and the German international has since spoken highly of Chelsea star Kai Havertz.
Havertz first season at Chelsea hasn’t lived up to the hype of his time at Bayer Leverkusen, with a return of just six goals and eight assists in 38 appearances. However, the young attacking midfielder has lit up some games this season, and is looking his best as we approach the end of the season.
Kroos has sung the praise of his countryman and hailed the Chelsea star as a player to watch out for.
“If he continues like this, he’ll be hard to stop,” Kroos had told Bild am Sonntag, via Sport Bild.
“But there are no guarantees and there are always stumbling blocks in a career.
“Kai is now facing the next step and a new situation. He also has to get used to it first.”
Kai Havertz could feature as a false nine in this game, with Timo Werner deployed from the left.
