Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has blamed Jorginho’s poor passes for Thiago Silva’s red card against West Brom which cost Chelsea.
The Blues were leading 1-0 before Silva was sent off in the first half.
Jorginho’s poor passes were responsible for both yellow cards received by Silva.
Jorginho gifted possession to Pereira which led to Silva’s first yellow card and he also gifted possession again to West Brom which led to Silva’s sending off.
Asked about the sending off, Tuchel told BT Sport: “I didn’t see the red card, I saw the two big mistakes in our own half before the yellow cards.
“That is not typical for us, we were rusty. We made easy mistakes and were punished. It was totally our fault.”
He added: “We did big mistakes before the two yellow cards. There were too many easy ball losses.”
