Chelsea are favourites to progress to the semifinals of the Champions League, as the Blues were drawn to face Portuguese side, FC Porto.
Speaking ahead of the game, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he has a feeling that Chelsea will beat Porto, but he also admitted that the weekend’s defeat to West Brom has humbled his side.
Chelsea were surprisingly beaten 5-2 at home by West Brom, as a Thiago Silva red card saw the Baggies bounce back from a goal down to win the game 5-2. And for Tuchel who had seen his side unbeaten for 14 games in a row and conceding just twice, the defeat taught him to be humble.
Tuchel said: “We come from the Premier League, a competition that we are able to lose against the team 19th in the table 5-2.
“So we know how humble you have to be in every game. In the quarter-finals of the Champions League, if you wish for an opponent you will lose yourself in crazy mind games.
“I have the feeling we can overcome Porto but it will be a tough match. They are a very experienced side in this competition, champions for many years in Portugal. This makes a certain mentality. But we are strong enough and believe in ourselves that we can overcome this round.”
