Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is known to be a perfectionist, as the German always seeks the best from his players and never settles for less.
Despite the 4-1 bashing of Crystal Palace, there were still a few groans from the Chelsea manager on the bench, and at half-time, he was seen having a tactical discussion with Callum Hudson-Odoi, as he explained to the right wing-back what he expected from him.
Kai Havertz literally ran the show against Palace. His movement, his touches and his general display was too notch. However, the Chelsea manager still urged him to improve and was clearly not too pleased with how he missed some chances.
Tuchel told Match of the Day: “He [Havertz] can still improve his hunger and determination. He has outstanding quality.
“He’s not the leader of this team and he doesn’t have to be. He had excellent runs and he could’ve scored more.
“It’s still a matter of position on timing and decision making in the box, which will give the boys a lot of confidence to score in away games.
“We have the feeling we could’ve scored more but we deserved that and that’s a nice feeling for our self-confidence.”
