N’Golo Kante was man of the match in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Real Madrid in Spain and the Chelsea midfielder picked up where he left off in the 2-0 second-leg victory over Real Madrid.
The 30 year old Frenchman played a big role in Chelsea’s first goal against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge.
After Chelsea won the ball back in midfield, Kante surged forward with power before playing in Kai Havertz, whose shot bounced off the crossbar for Werner to head home.
Rangers legend Ally McCoist, who was on commentary duties with talkSPORT, praised Kante for his brilliant run that led to the first goal.
“What a part in the goal Kante plays. Absolutely magic.” McCoist said.
“He plays a little give and go with Timo Werner, gets the ball back and releases Havertz.
“He dinks it over Courtois, it comes back off the crossbar. Who’s there? Timo Werner with the easiest goal, he’ll never score a simpler goal.
“Marvellous goal. The part Kante plays is brilliant. Everything about it was perfect.”
