“Chelsea are a tough team to play against” – former Real Madrid goalkeeper admits after Chelsea’s victory over Real Madrid

Former Real Madrid and Spain goalkeeper Santiago Canizares has admitted Chelsea are a tough team to play against following Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Real Madrid on Wednesday night.

The Blues drew 1-1 with Real Madrid away in Spain and finished the job at Stamford Bridge with a 2-0 victory.

Canizares told Movistar: “Chelsea aren’t just about the physical side of the game.

“They’ve got a great setup and balance between attack and defence. They such a tough nut to crack.

“We didn’t see Madrid on top at any stage. Madrid had two chances, both from Benzema, but Mendy kept him out – Chelsea were even better than Madrid in that department.”
