Chelsea have reportedly contacted the representatives of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane over a summer transfer.
According to former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent, the rivalry between the London clubs would mean Chelsea would have to pay over the odds for Kane.
“One of the clubs who have got that kind of money is Chelsea and they will throw everything at it,” Bent said on talkSPORT.
“Do I see Daniel Levy selling to Chelsea? I don’t, unless you add another £50m onto it, £200m.
“Although Chelsea have the money for it, the hatred between the two football clubs [will stop it].
“For Daniel Levy to be seen as making one of their rivals stronger, in terms of a London rival, I can’t see that happening.”
