Chelsea Women have retained the Women’s Super League title after beating Reading 5-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues knew that three points at Kingsmeadow would be enough to see us crowned champions of England for the fourth time – each of which has come in the last six years.

Two goals from Fran Kirby and one apiece for Melanie Leupolz, Sam Kerr and Erin Cuthbert gave us a comfortable win over Reading on the final day of the season.

Chelsea Women along Arsenal Women are now the most successful sides in the WSL era, which began a decade ago, after winning four titles each.

With the Community Shield and Continental League Cup also already in the bag this season, Chelsea Women can win four trophies this season if we beat Barcelona in the Women’s Champions League final.

The Blues travel to Gothenburg in Sweden to take on Barcelona next Sunday.
