Chelsea play host to Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, with the Blues having the advantage from the first leg with a 1-1 draw at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium last week.

For the second leg, Italian referee Daniele Orsato has been selected to take charge of the semi-final clash.

The Italian will be assisted by Alessandro Giallatini and Fabiano Preti, while Massimiliano Irrati will be in charge of VAR.

Orsato has been an international referee since 2010, and it was the Italian who oversaw Chelsea’s 2-0 home win over Atletico Madrid in the round of 16, on March 17.

Orsato has officiated Real Madrid’s game three times, and this will be the fourth Real Madrid game that Orsato will take charge of. His first Los Blancos game was an 8-0 win over Malmo in the group stages of the 2015/16 campaign.
